2015 Election Prayer.

From Venerable Prof. Sam Ike (March 22, 2015)

Between now and Saturday March 28, and April 11, you have a role to play.

Look at Isaiah 62.

Verse 1 – For Zion sake, will I not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem sake I will not rest, until the righteousness thereof go forth as brightness, and the salvation thereof as a lamp that burneth.

Verse 6 – I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day or night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence.

Verse 7 – Give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Verse 10 – Go through, go through the gates; prepare ye the way of the people; cast up, cast up the highway; gather out the stones; lift up a standard for the people. (KJV)

What’s your role and my role?

We will do Verse 10. We will go through as he who calls upon the name of the Lord. You will go through as 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, “If my people, who are called by my name, ….” The same thing here, you that call upon the name of the Lord, you will go through, and as you go through, you will prepare the way. Things that happen physically, politically, and naturally are controlled first of all spiritually.

That’s why at this time, many of those who seek power, fame and position are consulting. Some will suddenly become overnight Christians, some will suddenly go through many men of God as if the number they go through determines their rate of success, and some will also seek negative powers. So you who know what God has asked you to do, the choir sang for us, “Ask Me of the Nations” (Psalm 2:8), Nigeria is there. Jerusalem is our own Nigeria.

Make mention of Him, call upon Him, don’t keep silent, prepare the way, remove the hindrances and the logjams. The bombs, the explosives, remove them spiritually, and lift up a standard, lift up a voice. The Lord will hear your prayer.

What is your prayer?

Your prayer is, “God, establish righteousness in this election and this nation. God spare Nigeria. God there will be no disintegration, and those who have stockpiled arms for violence, intending war, will be caught in their own trap. God give us peace.”

Because you are a stakeholder, that’s what you would do, and as you pray, you will also tell him, “Lord let your will be done.”

Lift up a standard and the Lord will give us a smooth sail in the name of Jesus Christ. Whatever plans are of men, of devil, of powers, they will be short-changed and we shall go through. And Nigeria continues, because Nigeria is very important in God’s affair.

Please take this seriously, and mind what you say. If you have cause to vote (I hope you have your PVCs), vote according to your conscience, and according to your leading, and the Lord will do His Will in our nation in Jesus name.

Let your heart be at peace, and you shall see the goodness of the Lord through Nigeria.
