We thank God for the celebration of this year’s Fathers’ Day. The event kicked on Saturday June 20, 2015 with a medical outreach/crusade at Iva Valley, a suburb community in Enugu. Free medical check-ups were done for members of the community, and drugs were also given out free of charge to them. Later in the evening, there was a Christian film show and a crusade were people gave their lives to Christ.
The following day Sunday, June 21, 2015 was the Fathers’ Day, and fathers took charge of virtually all the roles of the day’s service – intercessory prayers, ushering, praise and worship songs, drama, sermon, anthems etc. Children were not left out as they appreciated the fathers with a beautiful presentation.
Like the true providers they are, our fathers made sure we were all fed spiritually and physically. It was indeed a memorable day.
May the good Lord keep and uphold our fathers as they strive towards disciplining households fit for the kingdom of God.
