+ Samuel Obiajulu Ike is the the Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Enugu. He was elected as the 3rd bishop of Anglican Diocese of Enugu on Monday, 12th August 2024 at St. Matthew’s Anglican Church Maitama, Abuja, at the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Episcopal Synod. He was consecrated on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion Standing Committee Meeting, held at St. Andrew’s Basilica Trans-Ekulu, Enugu (Nike Diocese), and enthroned same day at the Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd, Enugu (Enugu Diocese). 

He took the most important step in his life by  giving his life to Christ as a  Form 1 student at Federal Government College, Enugu, in 1977. He is a former Treasurer and Bible Study Secretary (SCM) at FGC, Enugu. He was School President, Nigerian Conference of Christian Medical and Dental students (NCCMDS – now CMDA), Bible  Study Secretary and, later President, Christian  Union, at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC).

At various times, he was President – NIFES Enugu Subzone, President – NIFES Nsukka Zone, Council member – EFAC Enugu Zone, Foundational Secretary and member – Scripture Union Supporters’ Forum (SUSF), and Chairman – Haggai International Alumni Association Enugu Chapter. He is the Regional Chairman – Scripture Union Enugu, and currently sits on the board of Haggai Alumni Association of  Nigeria as a member.

Samuel was ordained a priest in 2004. As an Archdeacon, he was in charge of the Hospital Chaplaincy Archdeaconry (comprises of 3 chapels) of the Diocese. With his transfer in October 2022, he became the Vicar of Chapel of Restoration, UNTH (Old Site) Enugu, after 18 years of stewardship as the pioneer Vicar/Chaplain of Chapel of His Resurrection, Parklane, Enugu.

He is a Lecturer and Professor of Cardiology with the University of Nigeria (Enugu campus), and a Consultant Physician and Cardiologist at University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH) Ituku Ozalla, Enugu.

He is married to Ruby and they are blessed with 3 children.
