ESUT TEACHING HOSPITAL, PARKLANE, G.R.A, ENUGU
BIBLE STUDY OUTLINE

 TOPIC: WHAT IS THE GOSPEL?

TEXT:       MARK 1:14-15

AIM: This study is aimed at helping us understand the meaning and essence of the gospel

INTRODUCTION
The word gospel means Good News. Jesus commanded us to go into all the world and preach the gospel (Mk. 16:15) knowing that people’s eternal destinies are tied to the gospel message. It is very important that we know and understand the message we are commissioned to preach so that the necessary impact will be made and the desired result achieved. When the message of the gospel is clear to us, we will save both ourselves and our hearers (I Tim. 4:16).

CONCLUSION

The gospel is good news when we understand that we do not and cannot earn our salvation. The work of redemption and justification is complete, having been finished on the cross (John 19:30). Therefore, just as we have received Christ Jesus as Lord, let us continue to walk in him.

Memory Verse–I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile   Romans 1:16 (NIV)
