THEME: REVIVE YOUR WORK/PEOPLE IN THE MIDST OF THE YEARS.
TOPIC: THE IMPACT OF REVIVAL ON THE SOCIETY
TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 31:1
Aim: To understand the scope and impact of revival in the society and our role in its spread.
INTRODUCTION
David Dickson (1583 – 1662) defined revival as, “a special outpouring of God’s blessing when His people are spiritually renewed and many others are converted”. Thus, the fire of revival usually sparks off from an individual or a group; however, it spreads beyond the point of origin Any revival that has no impact on the society cannot be adjudged to have been perfect. We cannot be on fire for God while our society is waxing in darkness.
This study is a call for us to spread the revival beyond the four walls of the church to the society. May our hearts be ignited with fresh passion as we go through the study. Amen.

1.) What should be the scope of any revival outbreak? Hab 2: 14; Matt 28: 19; Act 1:8.

3.) What should be our role in extending revival to the society? Jonah 3: 1 -3; Ezra 10:1; Rom 10: 13 -14; Act 1: 8; Matt 28: 19-20
4.) Identify the human agents involved in spreading the revival fire. Hagg 1: 12 – 14; Acts 11: 19 -21; Neh 8: 5-9
5.) What can hinder/delay the spreading of revival to the society? Ezk 22: 30-31 Jonah 1: 1- 3; 4: 1 -2; Lk 9: 59 – 62; Jer. 1:6-7
6.) Discuss the benefits of revival on the people? 2Chron 7: 13 – 14; Ps 85: 6 -12; Acts 5:11-13.
CONCLUSION
We owe our generation the truth. We may not be able to reach everywhere, but we can start somewhere. When each of us shines in our immediate environment, it won’t take long before the glory of the Lord will fill the earth as the waters cover the sea.
